Why Connecting with a Deeper Sense of Purpose is the Key to Success
We all deserve to be fulfilled by what we do. While happiness comes from doing things for ourselves, fulfillment is achieved by contributing to something greater than us.

But, how do you actually “do what you love” or “find your bliss”? By aligning your work, words and actions with a deeper sense of purpose. And this can be an actionable and even simple process!
In this session, learn to identify the driving force behind your contributions and their impact on the world through the following:

1) Identify the type of fear that is holding you back so you can move through it.
2) Quiet the inner critic that is keeping you from reaching for your dreams.
3) Complete a simple exercise to Find Your Why

So choose your path with intention by identifying your purpose, so that rather than looking for
opportunities hoping some of them stick, you go straight for the places where you’re needed!

Hispanic Marketing Roundtable: Industry Evolution and Trends of 2018
Weird.  Mean.  Painful.  2017 was arguably one of the strangest years in American history for the Latino community and a rash of unprecedented headlines – and even natural catastrophes – made it particularly tough for Hispanic brands to navigate. In this brands town hall we’ll look at how cultural and political trends are impacting Hispanic brands as well as predictions for Hispanic advertising in 2018 and beyond across a variety of key topics and industries.

In this session, you’ll learn:

A year after the Trump presidency, how have the rules of Hispanic and multicultural marketing changed or been impacted by the constant headlines against the Latino community, the war against DACA, Puerto Rico, etc…?

What brands are standing out for their unwavering support of the Latino – and immigrant – communities and why you think their work makes them particularly stand out?

This past year several brands went out of their way – P&G, among them – to affirm the importance of Hispanic Market segmentation and even about the commitment to work with agencies owned by executives from diverse backgrounds.  Where has this development impacted the ongoing Total Market debate?

- How is your brand spending this year across U.S. Hispanic TV, radio, digital/social?  Let’s review each category and tell us if your company is going to spend higher, lower or flat compared to 2017.

- What is your view towards the TV ratings and programming wars between Telemundo, Univision, etc…?  How are the TV networks faring in your opinion, what are they being smart about and where do you think they need to do better?

- Switching to social media.  Which social media strategies and tactics do you think are resonating with Hispanic brands – including yours - right now the most and which ones do you think are not?

- Other than the public affairs topics we discussed earlier, what are the top cultural trends Hispanic marketers are most paying attention to this year?

- Who are the Latino trend-setters that brands most admire this year in music, film and culture?

The Moral Imperative: How Brands Are Forcing Agencies to Take Diversity Seriously
In what has become known as a potential watershed moment for diversity and inclusion in the marketing industry, two years ago HP challenged themselves and their agencies to significantly increase the number of women and US minorities in top creative and strategic planning roles on our account.  Today, more brands and organizations like the USAA and Verizon, among others, are following HP's lead, forcing agencies to pay attention - and change.  In this session, panelists will look at the D&I mandate standard HP created and see how this revolutionary approach is continuing to help an industry take serious account and action about its severe diversity problem.

Latinos in the Crossroads of Politics, Policy and Leadership Identity
With each passing election, claims of potential Latino political influence increase and efforts to harness that influence grow. But despite the existence of a “Latino vote” it has become increasingly difficult to express a Latino voice in political outcomes, particularly as it relates to immigration.

Noticeably absent in these conversations is the prominent leadership needed to mobilize Latinos and make their case nationally. With nearly 60 million Latinos in the U.S. representing almost 20 percent of the population, the importance of Latino leadership and the need to understand the complicated Latino/a political identity has never been greater. More importantly, how do we ensure that this actively engaged Latino base can translate its passion and voice into action on election days?

In this exclusive one-on-one fireside chat with DREAMERs Roadmap founder Sarahi Espinoza Salamanca, renowned NBC and Telemundo anchor Jose Diaz Balart will discuss the need for Latino civic and electoral participation, the current political currents that are driving attitudes, the national rhetoric surrounding the immigrant community, and the political dimensions that are increasingly threatening the viability of the nation’s Latino population.
