Director, Strategy & Planning
A proud Latina mother of two girls, obsessed with brand building, TED talks, parenting, culture and Cafecito Cubano.

For the past four years, Zeida Camacho has been director, strategy and planning, Brand Marketing and Advertising at Prudential Financial. Her work is to inspire audiences to own their financial well-being and security by defining target markets with insights and understanding how to connect with people in meaningful ways.

Whether it’s through traditional advertising, social media and/or partnerships with content creators, she continues to develop messaging strategies and approaches that enable authentic connections between Prudential and its audiences.

Zeida began her career in the music and entertainment industry, where a college internship led to working her way up to becoming Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Estefan Enterprises. This company is owned by international superstars Gloria and Emilio Estefan. During her seven-year tenure, Zeida was responsible for numerous projects including Gloria Estefan’s music, film and philanthropic initiatives. Additionally, she helped Latin American artists, such as Shakira, Alejandro Fernandez and Carlos Vives become established in the U.S. Hispanic and mainstream markets.

In 2005, Zeida moved to Manhattan to pursue a role as a Brand Planner at GlobalHue (GH), a multicultural advertising agency. During her four years at GH, Zeida primarily worked on all Hispanic advertising for Verizon Wireless. She also supported existing businesses, including Chrysler and played an integral role in working on new business.

Following GH, she joined other top-tier Hispanic advertising agencies, including Bromley Communications and Bravo, where she worked across numerous brands such as Proctor and Gamble, Western Union, Payless (U.S. and LATAM), Evercare, Theraflu and Genentech. Later, Zeida joined McGarryBowen, named Ad Age’s Agency of the Year in 2011, where she worked on Chase, as well as Crayola and new business.
